On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Kiesler Foundation Vienna we invite you to the Symposium MODELLING SPACE at the Az W. The architects, artists and theorists: Ben van Berkel, Olafur Eliasson, Kurt W. Forster, Antje von Graevenitz and Hani Rashid/Asymptote will take a stand on the topic of “modelling space”. In particular, there will be a discussion of the newest tendencies and developments in the realm of architectural and artistic spatial interventions as well as an examination of the intentions of novel design practices and working processes in architecture and art.

The Frederick Kiesler Foundation in Vienna is holding in co-operation with the Burgtheater Vienna and the Austrian Theater Museum a symposium on Frederick Kiesler's visionary concepts in the field of theater. DIE KULISSE EXPLODIERT – Eine Debatte um Friedrich Kieslers Raumbühne (1924) is a reading on the historical discussion circling around Kiesler's Space Stage 1924. subsequently, a panel of Austrian and interntaional theater directors, stage designers will discuss the actuality of the Frederick Kiesler's (austro-american architect and stage designer, 1890-1965) theater visions and their impact on contemporary theater production.
